Chaput<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fhucare.com\/fhu-care2\/experts-and-network\/#Ga\u00ebtane-Nocturne\">Pr. Nocturne<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;present a collaborative project to explore lymphocyte senescence and its implication in autoimmune diseases and cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pr. Chaput&rsquo;s team has demonstrated the presence of senescent CD8+ T cells in lung cancer patients and high levels of these cells would be associated with resistance to anti-PD-(L)1 antibody. In addition to the physiological immune aging with age, senescent T cells can accumulate following chronic antigenic stimulation (cancer, autoimmune diseases) or in inflammatory diseases such as diabetes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The objective of TNFSEN is to study T cell senescence in autoimmune diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and Sj\u00f6gren&rsquo;s syndrome) and its evolution during anti-TNF-\u03b1 treatment. This study will allow to investigate common or opposite mechanisms leading to senescence, in cancer and autoimmune diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this context, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fhucare.com\/fhu-care2\/experts-and-network\/#Franck-Carbonnel\">Pr. Franck Carbonnel<\/a> <\/strong>suggested exploring Crohn&rsquo;s disease. This collaborative work perfectly embodies the spirit of the FHU, which aims to create synergies between teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recently, a first analysis on cytometry data and assays of factors associated with inflammation was conducted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2022, Sj\u00f6gren\u2019s disease and cytokine measurements have been added. <strong>Key results<\/strong> :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>This senescence is mainly driven by IFNs<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>No association with disease activity<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Increased SIP in IMIDs (Sj\u00f6gren, RA, SpA)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These results highlight a <strong>strong link<\/strong> between the<strong> signature <\/strong>and <strong>IFNs<\/strong>. Further studies are planned to explore this pathway and to evaluate new therapeutic strategies capable of reversing senescence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To summarize TNFSEN :<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>SIP in IMIDs<br>&#8211;
